Q. What is the dark staining on my brick or siding?
A. Most likely it is mold. All mold needs to grow is moisture and a food source and it will grow
anywhere, especially in shady areas. The dark stains on your siding, the dark stains on concrete
walks should be removed for health, safety and cosmetic reasons.
Note: If you have children that play on patios or backyard playgrounds with mildew growing on
them, you should have those areas cleaned.
Q. Can my old grayed wood deck look new again?
Yes, we rejuvenate grayed wood decks by using our state-of-the-art equipment, biodegradable
detergents to remove mold and mildew growth, brighteners to enhance and sealants to
weatherproof. In the end, you enjoy a fully restored deck which adds value and beauty to your
home.
Q. How often should I clean my home or business?
A. It is recommended to clean siding and cement surfaces every 12 - 18 months and decks every
12 - 24 months. Commercial establishments require cleaning at shorter intervals. We offer
discounts for monthly and quarterly contracts.
Q. Can you clean my house or deck in the winter?
A. Yes, we operate all year long so long as the temperature is above 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Q. I want my house to stay looking clean and fresh, will you send me a reminder notice about your
wonderful cleaning services?
A. Yes, we keep our customers on a reminder mailing list. We recommend keeping your property
clean rather than waiting until the mold buildup is unsightly.
Q. Will powerwashing harm my plants?
A. All of our cleaning is absolutely safe for plants, people and pets. We use biodegradable
detergents. If necessary, we cover vegetation that may be at risk.
Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes, Bug OFF Services has Liability and Personal Property Damage Insurance coverage in
case we do any damage to your property. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
Q. I am concerned about the amount of water you will use.
A. A typical exterior house wash uses less than 200 gallons. A typical deck wash uses less than
500 gallons.
Q. What if I don’t have a water supply?
A. We can supply water when there is no water supply at a small cost.
Q. Can you give me an accurate quote without seeing my house or business?
A. We can give you a rough idea of what the job will cost you. However, we will come to you and
give you an accurate estimate.
Q. Will I receive a written estimate?
A. All of our estimates are written.
Q. Do you require a deposit?
A. We require a 15% deposit for jobs estimated over $1000
Q. Is the work to be performed clearly defined including areas to be finished, type of material,
number of coats, and special surface preparation?
A. All of the steps will be explained to you as well as listed on our forms.
Q. How will I know when you are coming?
A. We will schedule an appointment date and time. A typical job is scheduled within 5 working
days.
Q. Do I need to be at home?
A. No. After the work is completed, we will contact you to see if you are completely satisfied.
